Federal Lake City Ammo

that's an alright deal. I've never bought from natches but I would warn you that m855/ss109 is green tip(armor piercing). if you want to be able to shoot it in an indoor range they wont allow it and you'll be stuck buying range ammo. really the only reason to get green tip is if you are using it go hide hunting or if you're stockpiling for when the "hit fits the shan"

I'm actually surprised that someone is selling 1000 round lots of it still, I haven't seen green tip for sale in over a year

here's your standard M193 full metal jackets for even cheaper if all you were looking for was something to kill paper with

oh i had no idea, thanks for that.

i just searched it because of a few people getting really good groupings out of it.

all i am looking for is the most accurate ammo for my 3G1 in 5.56

if you're looking for tight groupings then bulk ammo really isn't the way to go. the XM855 does tend to do very well as far as bulk ammo goes but since it's designed to go through flak jackets indoor ranges wont allow it's use. if you are looking for good groupings at an outdoor range oh a buddies field then you'd be fine but again, its not going to mushroom so it's a very bad idea to go hunting with it unless you are after hides. I had a friend once that accidentally loaded his 30-06 with AP rounds for elk season and shot an elk about 7 times before it dropped had to chase it for forever and a day.

I bought mine at Palmetto State Armory

I think it was closer to $320. Unfortunately they are temporarily out of stock of the 1000 case. They still sell 300 rds for $100. ;)

Now back to how they shoot. I shoot them through my M&P 15 OR and Sport. They both group less than 1.5 inch with iron sights at 50 yards. I thud the local range 12" heavy soft steel target at 260 yards 99% of the time also with iron sights. Yes they are pretty accurate and they work 100% of the time. :)
