Federal HST

Just ordered some 180g HST 40 s&w to replace my "obselete" hydra shok.
Does anyone have any experience with this round and how is it superior to the hydra shok? Thanks in advance

I shoot 230-gr HSTs and Tactical Bondeds in my Taurus PT-145 Millennium Pro. Just as accurate as Hydra-Shoks (which are very accurate in my gun). Although I haven't personally tested them, they supposedly give much better expansion through heavy clothing that tends to plug up the Hydra-Shoks.

Most tests I have read about have them expanding to at least 1" and retaining nearly all their weight. It seems to be a pretty impressive round.

I was impressed enough with the numbers to purchase a couple of boxes of .45 acp for testing in a Dan Wesson I purchased a while back. I haven't had a chance to get to the range to try them out. Hope to soon.
