Here's another action item. We have a dangerous Federal firearm registration and licensing bill. It's sponsor is trying to get it out of committee and for a full vote through "compromise". You know what happens when "compromise" happens in Washington, don't you? But we have the re-introduction of 2 very pro-gun bills which will help with the carry of firearms and will protect the firearms industry. It's time to go on the offensive and defensive again. There are a lot of bills out there to register handguns...

The one above would impose a MINIMUM 15 year sentence for violations.

This one ( http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c107:H.R.138) would require a State license to RECEIVE (not just purchase) a handgun OR HANDGUN AMMUNITION, including Private Transfers! And even then, the person receiving the handgun or ammo MUST show a document issued by the "chief law enforcement officer" stating that the person recieving the items has received a death threat!

This bill (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c107:H.R.139) would require anyone owning a handgun to obtain liability insurance, which would make owning a firearm too expensive for most people!

Of course, under the name of combating "gunrunning" there's this beauty: http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c107:H.R.225: This one provides one-gun-a-month limits and actually admits that any info gathered will be used to prosecute you!
11) Information that is retained pursuant to Public Law 103-159 may be used to effectuate section 922(z) of this title.'

It's already starting again, folks. Let's start writing!
