Federal .45 (big) problem

I just bought 100 rounds of Federal .45 ACP (230 gr. FMJ) to take my new Sig to the range in a couple days. Being the only gun I have with me, I cleaned the gun, loaded both clips, and racked the slide to chamber a round for SD in the mean time. The slide caught a bit on the first round, so I ejected the clip and attempted to eject the chambered round. However, the round got caught between the barrel and the frame and I had to work a bit to free the cartridge. I was worried something was wrong with the weapon, so I repeated the process. Long story short, I found 2 rounds that continually stuck and would not eject freely after manually racking the slide. It happened in both magazines being the first, last, or any in between round. Has this happened to any of you guys/gals? I'm assuming it must be those 2 rounds, but you never know. I would hate to think I could get myself in an SD situation and not be able to chamber the 2nd round. Or not be cocked and locked and be dead in the water. Thoughts and comments are welcome.

Lately I have had issues with Federal FMJ ammo. I have come across a few bulged case rounds in 9mm and .22lr. My rounds wouldn't even chamber. I would expect you just have a few bad rounds. Federal FMJ rounds are produced by the millions and are bound to have a few stinkers.

Guessing this is a new gun that hasn't been broken it yet. Shoot 200 rounds through it before condemning anything.

I agree that new machinery of any kinds needs to be broken in. However, I find it odd that the same two rounds failed to eject in both magazines on top and bottom. I was more searching for similar experiences. I don't know a lot about which brands are better than others, as my 9mm Glock is the only other handgun I own.

It's possible the bullets weren't seated deep enough. If it's only a problem of extraction and having the nose end clear the ejection port there shouldn't be a problem.

Did you let the slide slam shut or did you baby it closed? I know I have had feed issues in some pistols if I ride the slide forward.
