Federal 100 Value Pack - 9mm

Couldn't find anything with search. Anyone have experience with this stuff? Wonder how it compares with WWB?

My Walmart has it for $19.97. I usually buy WWB but the Federal is about $5 less.

I just got a box last night, along with 2 100rd boxes of WWB to compare. Sure looks OK...

The headstamp on the Federal is the odd .FC. headstamp that was recently discussed here, it means it was made at the Speer plant (or the cases were, I forget the entire story... )

I do like how it's packaged, in the 2 50rd sub-boxes... I might wind up getting a few to stash in the truck. :D

I've never seen the 100-round value pack at Wal-Mart (the only 100-round boxes of 9mm I've ever seen there is WWB), but if it's the same stuff as the 50-round boxes of Federal Champion from Wal-Mart then it's as good as any other inexpensive range ammo (WWB, UMC, S&B, Speer Lawman, etc.) and is my usual practice load for my CZ-75.

My PF-9 hates the wwb, but has never had a hiccup with the Federal ammo. It probably has more to do with the OAL of the WWB than quality of either one.

It should be the same as the 50ct Red Box stuff. I shoot that all the time and never have a problem (it's my most common practice ammo). The brass seems to reload well too. I bought some of the 100ct but haven't been back out to the range yet :( (except for the .22 league :) ).

I think you are describing federal champion 115gr fmj.

It's my standard range round. I'm very happy with it. I've probably burned thru more than 1k rounds of it this year. I've fired a couple hundred WWB and some PMC Bronze too. They are indistinguisable from each other in performance. The Federal is a couple cents a round cheaper so that's what I shoot.

I get it at Walmart. You should too.

I've put at least 1k rounds of the Federal through my PX4 without a single issue. I also like it better than the WWB, if only b/c it's cheaper. Every bit as accurate, reliable, and clean IMO.
Hard to make the initial investment in reloading equipment at that price!

I've bought a couple of the 100rd Federal boxes myself, and for the price they are hard to beat. its by far the cheapest 9mm ammo around, not counting the low quality Tula stuff.

they run just fine on my pistol and is relatively clean.

I wish Walmart sold larger packages of centerfire ammo. Something like a 500 or even 1000 round box. The biggest I ever see is the 250 packs of Remington UMC.
