Fed .308 168 Matchkings- tip at angle ??

I bought some Federal Sierra Matchkings BTHP. I've never bought these before, I noticed the tips are at angles. The tip of the slug has a small hole like any other hollowpoint. The top of the tip isn't uniform, it's sloped to one side, as it would be if someone carelessly ran a file across the top w/o keeping it at a right angle. What I mean is, if you were to stand the bullet on a table w/ slug pointing up, and if you were able to balance a straight edge across the tip of slug, youd see about a 15 or 20 degree lean. Is this right? Is this a problem? This is supposed to be accurate ammo. ??

Sierra Mach Kings are standard by which others are compared. Federal GMM is also considered the in the same manner. The nose of the bullet is not as critical as the uniformity of the base. I suspect those rounds will shoot accurately regardless of the form of the nose.

What few people realize is that, unless it is a total freak show of damage, the tip of a bullet has almost no effect on a bullet's accuracy potential.

Damage the base, however, and accuracy will go south VERY quickly.
