FBI analisis/presentation

I saw the video of this shootout. Pretty determined BG. Interesting report.

I like the comment left by Ignatius28 -

"....The only gun that I have truly seen demonstrate true one shot stoping power is a 12 guage shotgun, and some rifle bullets....."

Though I'm not sure how effective a 12ga would have been in this situation, I could easily subscribe to the idea that a 12ga with the right shells, CBM, would be a "one shot stopper" in most HD situations.
 
2 things bother me:

1: the report said the "ASSUME" the reasons for the poor penetration. Sounds like someone half asses their job/is covering something. I wouldnt wholly belive anyones conclusions untill they are proven facts.

2: i own a .40 s&w, makes me wonder if i should ever really bet my life on it?
 
Aparently the lack of penetration of the rounds was due to the fact that the BG was barricated behind a car door. That's the reason I deleted the post. The report, which is not complete, fails to mention that particular detail and is thus misleading.
