Favorites--Rossi 720

Here are two of my favorite personal carry guns. They are Rossi model 720's, caliber 44 special. They used to be able to bought for around $200 or so, but not any more. Since Rossi discontinued its production the guns have slowly drifted to homes that are keeping them. Now days, if you can buy one for under $400 you are lucky. But even at that price, they are worth it...in my opinion.

P.S. give me a moment and I will post some pictures.

One of my favorite ccw's is the Rossi 720's cousin, the Taurus 431. Mine is a SS 3" square butt and it carries like a dream both IWB and OWB. As mentioned previously k frame 44 specials are tough to find nowadays and I don't plan on parting with mine.

If the rossi 720 is such a demand why don't they produce it anymore? The last few I saw on gunbroker went for over 500.00 for used guns, crazy price for a Rossi. I can get a 44 special Ruger blackhawk for less money.

Taurus currently makes a somewhat similar 44 special. They are running Rossi now and may not want to have Rossi competing with the Taurus in the 44 special market, maybe?

Or maybe the opposite? If the Taurus 44 specials aren't selling well, they wouldn't be smart to try to sell another version.
