So this is the latest story that was thrown out there by CBS. I am not sure what to think. Mostly, I think it pisses me off because you wonder why now - why this?
After being completely anti US and anti military, now all of a sudden someone in the media thinks that maybe we need ammunition with more stopping power?
What? This is the same media that has to wipe its chin every time a police officer shoots a person. This is the same media that reports the violence of guns but never the safety of guns. This is the same media that promotes the BS of supporting the troops but not the war - which is another way of covering their behinds with the American public because they spend most of their time undermining the actions of the troops but saying how much they still love them.
I had an aunt who was like this. She would tell you were fat and follow it up with, but it looks good on you - you look husky.
After years and years of kowtowing to NATO's idiotic whims of lessening the impact of the bullet round to make it more "Civilized" we now think that maybe that was a bad idea. Really?
Maybe it is because some of these imbedded reporters are soiling themselves trying to stick with the troops they are undermining and realize that more fire power would make their jobs a little safer.
Funny how being shot at changes your mind about "civilized" warfare. All of a sudden a few passages from Sun Tzu seem to come back to you and you realize that there is no such thing as a civilized war.
I think what angers me the most is their approach to this idea of the ammunition being "faulty." They slide a single story out there to test the water and see how people may or may not react to it. It has nothing to do with reporting and everything about gauging public opinion. It is their drive to satisfy opinion instead of report facts that has a large portion of the American public actually believing in notions of "civilized warfare" and "faulty ammunition."
Ammunition is not faulty, but choosing the wrong ammunition for the task is a fault.
And now the media who for years has undermined the Second Amendment and every Military action lead by non- liberals now decides to give the illusion that they are militaristically savvy.
Yeah, a smaller bullet does less damage and gives your enemy an advantage. Their large bullets do more damage - correct. Wow, excellent investigative reporting.
If you feel like getting sick, here is the article:
