Fast Eddie has spoken, Pennsylvanians beware

Heard earlier today on WDUQ FM in Pittsburgh, during the course of Day To Day, a one hour news and comment broadcast, Governor Rendell in a voice over, offering the following.

Strong support for One Gun Per Month Purchase restriction. If such as this were enacted, how long do you think it would be before it bacame One Gun Per Quater or Per Year?

He also beats the drum for allowing cities and towns to enact their own Gun Control Laws, which would lead to the Californication or Balkanization, whichever you prefer, of this state, and the trashing of the rights of the law abiding. Strange to note, criminals would likely ignore these newly enacted laws, just like they ignore other laws.

If such as this is acceptable to you, just keep looking at whatever sporting event might be in season, or the latest in reality television. On the other hand, if you find such as this problematic, consider getting on to your own state senator and representative, letting them know of your objections. The rights to protect are your own.

Rendall has not been making a lot of his constituents happy with his gun control talk. Many are equally disturbed by the legislature trying to shorten the terms of the PA Game Commission (PGC) directors to 4 years in order they say to make the PGC more accomadating and answerable to the public. PGC made some tough choices with regard to management of whitetail populations which has made many hunters unhappy with deer populations being down a bit from previous levels in recent years. I would venture a guess that he will not be elected for a another term as he is very much in step with Bloomburg on gun control issues.

This is his final term regardless. Pa has a two term limit.

He doesn't have support in the legislature for his gun control schemes.

My local state senator and rep, Piccolla and Marsico, are on our side already.

Not withstanding the poor candidates put up by the Republicans (twice), I continue to wonder, and will pose the following, possibly dumb questions.

1. How did Rendell get elected the first time.

2. How did he get re-elected.

Both of the above questions are prefixed, given his prior record.
