Farewell to all for the time being

Tommorow. I will resign from my current job to start my own Industrial Manufacturer's Rep Company. This means no more lap top since the loaner my wife gives her employees is out on loan right now.

I will be checking in from time to time when I am at her Office from time to time. In the meantime, it has been great corresponding with all of you, especically C.R. Sam's sage wisdom and Tamara's dry wit.

I am hooked on this revolver thing but for now, I must focus on this new opportunity so I can get more revolvers! I am 38 years old and it's now or never.

Keep your powder dry and don't take no wooden nickles and God willing, we will see each other on down the road.

Will - although we are, I believe, on opposite sides of the S&W thing, go with God & good luck to you - hope to "see" you here from time to time!

12 years when I was 38 I gave up a financially successful career, quit working and went back to school to study basic electronics. That lead to a very successful career in the computer repair field, that's grown to my now being a senior network engineer. Entering the job market/self employment market as an almost 40 entry level is a scary thing. Add $10K of student loans on top, and the loss of income for the 2 years I spent as a student, then throw in the difference between what I made, and the entry level pay,, I started out roughly $70K to the bad...Best move (for my sanity) I ever made. Eventually the money came back, plus a whole lot more than I would have made had I stayed where I was, doing what I was doing.
Best of luck to you,,,I'm living proof that it can work.

Will, I have enjoyed your posts. I hope your career change is wildly successful and you can re-join us ASAP.

Best of Luck.

Will...

I enjoyed your posts. Try to check in when you can. I sincerely hope that your new business is SO successful that you'll get your OWN laptop very soon. Best of luck in the new venture.

Will ...

Hate to see you "head for the hills".

You know, if you bought yourself a new laptop you could write it off as a business expense! ;)

Now, if we could just find a way to justify 10 new revolvers .. hummmmmmmmm :)

Best of luck to you, I'll miss your posts! :(
