FAL Scope Mounts - Tapco vs. DSA?

I've been thinking of getting a receiver cover scope mount for my STG-58 FAL. I understand that DSA has recently reduced the price of their's to $68. Tapco has a similar looking mount for $30. How do these work? Is the DSA worth the extra money? Any other sources/designs I should be looking at? Do any of these allow use of the standard iron sights? How difficult is it to install/remove these? Thanks for any info.

I have the TAPCO mount and it is great. Very easy to install (and uninstall), looks cool as hell even without a scope. Yes, you can use the iron sights. I do not have a DSA mount but I understand they have several more screws to mess with, the TAPCO has 4. The only problem I had was a little interference with the cocking handle after I cranked down on the screws (didn't show up when I was test fitting it). I took a little file and removed the tiniest bit from the leading edge of the mount and it works just fine. It is a very beefy piece of aluminum. I don't know, but I could not see how the DSA would be better. There has been some dicussion on the falfiles and the preferred is the DSA and the TAPCO mounts.

Well i'm on the other side of the coin--i've got the DSA and was fortunate enough to buy one when they were $90.00...it has 4 screws on each side and you can use the iron sights...works OK for me...did not have to alter anything to use it....Dick
