I have a Smith & Wesson Model 29 Classic 5" that I bought used from a TFLer. I can't afford to keep this thing fed as much as I'd like to, and I have a hankering for a Model 19. I'm having a hard time finding values for mine; it's not that hard to find prices for the 19s.

I don't know how many rounds mine has through it, but it's tight and has bluing wear only on the turn line and the front of the cylinder (holster wear?). The bluing is very nice. I have the original grip and a Pachmayr presentation grip.

I would think that mine's worth more than a Model 19 in similar condition, but I don't know about one that's like new, or at least newer. What should I expect to get in return?

From what I see the general rule is that the N-frames tend to bring $50 to $100 more than the K-frames considering the same condition. Thats just a rough guess from what I saw when shopping for either last year. Ended up with a very good condition Model 19 for $300 and change.

Agree with Blue Duck357

Lots of variables could swing it either way but like for like, $50-$100 sounds pretty right.
