I took my savage 308 to the range today to test various factory offerrings. I tested 150gr federal powershock, 150 gr federal fusion, 150 gr winchester power point, 150gr fiocchi sst, 147 gr silver bear sp and 180gr remington corelokt. All ammo except the fiocchi sst shot within 2" of each other at 100yds. The best group was .80 inches fired with the federal fusion. The powershock, power point, and core lokt all shot around 1moa. The silver bear suprisingly shot 1.25 moa. The fiocchi however wouldnt even hit paper at 100yds. I have no idea where the rounds were hitting and cant understand why they would be that far off the other rounds tested. Anybody ever seen anything like that? I was using 8" bullseye targets and out of 5 rounds fires not a single one touched paper.
