Factory .38 special ammo that meets IDPA power floor

Hi all,
I'm getting ready to shoot a revolver in IDPA this season, and I'm having a hard time finding .38 special ammo that meets the power floor. Per IDPA requirements, when shot out of 4in barrell (or shorter, but I have 4in), weight in grains multiplied by muzzle velocity has to be at least 125k. In terms of 38 special this translates into 158 grain bullet going out at 800fps, once again, in my 4 inch barrell. I'd appreciate if someone pointed me to a fairly inexpensive online source for such ammo, and if there're ways to go wrong on the choice, I'd like to hear about that as well. Note, I'm not looking for +P ammo, just standard 38spec loads.
Thanks,
Paul

I could swear that I read in the rule book that FACTORY Winchester or Federal ammo would be acceptible even if it doesn't make the power floor... but I can't for the life of me find that.

In any case, it's very difficult to make 125 PF out of non-+P .38 special. The best you can do it use factory 158 grain ammo. I don't think anyone will ding you if you do that.

I could not find any mention in the new edition of the rulebook of Winchester ammo being allowed despite not meeting the power floor either. I do not think it was in the previous edition, so maybe two editions back? I'm disappointed that the IDPA has not replied to my inquiry on this subject. I guess despite being small they're anything but "grassroots" in how they operate.

However, someone else has replied, and that's the reason I'm even btt'ing this thread. S&B has a product, SBA03802, that fires 158 grain bullet at 997fps, out of 7.5in barrel. There's a good possibility that it's going out at 790+ out of a 4 inch tube. S&B website actually has two numbers on their site for this round, 997fps, and 889fps. I just got a reply from S&B that 997 is the correct one. J&G carries it, and the price's like all other S&B products.
