My response to another thread gave me a small revelation, and I thought I'd see what everyone else thought.
Now I know that we all hope this NEVER happens to us, but hypothetically, lets consider this scenario:
You come home from work, and you do have your favorite CCW with you. You step out of your car, and from around the (corner, bushes, gate, whatever) comes a man with a ski-mask and a pistol. There's 10 - 15 yards between you, and you are fortunately still in a position to take cover behind the front of your car.
What pistol would you most hope that the BG has?
What pistol would you most hope the BG does NOT have?
For me, it's:
Hope he has an AMT DAO Backup
The trigger pull, lack of reliability, harsh recoil, etc. all work in my favor.
Hope he doesn't have a Glock
No, I don't own one, and there are PLENTY of other super-reliable guns out there, but the the dependability and accuracy coupled with the short, light trigger pull and potential to have 15 - 17 rounds in the mag would make for a well armed opponent.
Please don't take offense. It's just for fun, and anybody who owns an AMT, and knows it is reliable, and practices with it, etc. is just as well armed as me with my Kahr. BG's just aren't known for practicing.
