Eyebrows?

John Locke is the author of "More Guns, Less Crime" and other pro gun books.

What is the deal with John's eyebrows? Have you seen him interviewed on TV? Looks like he plucked his natural brows and penciled in some new, higher ones. Kinda' like Joan Crawford.

Seriously, anybody know? I'd post a pic if I had one.

I like his books, but what's the deal with the eyebrows?

I know, his eyebrows are...unusual. Very.

Oh well. He's one cool dude. I've heard him speak a couple of times now, he was especially effective at the 1997 California Assembly Safety Committee hearing on CCW reform.

Alien eyebrows and all :D.

(Sorry Professor, if you're reading this :). It's no big deal, honest :D.)

Imagine debating Lott on a national news show, and all you can think is: "Man, he's got some freaky eyebrows...what's up with that?"

It's a tactic, I tells ya...

I haven't seen that guy,

but I SWEAR CarrotTop had his eyebrows done up like a cross between a weird girl and an insane clown. no way his eyebrows are like that naturally.

I think the eyebrows are more noticeable on TV than in person.

During our senate committee hearings last spring, Lott presented some excellent arguments. All but the most anti-gun senators were glued to his words.

Wow, I just took a look at those photo links that DZ so kindly provided. Mr. Lott looks like a 'Glamour' magazine model for how NOT to pluck one's eyebrows. They've definitely been plucked or otherwise lost or removed and replaced with eyebrow pencil. That's just bizarre. Poor guy.

No, they're even more bizarre in person. Those pictures don't even begin, the poor guy was holding them down or something long enough to get the shot. Wait until you see him look surprised taking audience questions, they scoot halfway up his forehead. It's not a plucking issue, he was either born that way or had his face reconstructed post-accident or something.

Oh well.

I lost a bet over a Star Trek TNG episode when they had a guy called "the Traveller" on. I thought that he was Prof Lott doing a TV show (they have many stars on for one show cameos). I was wrong, but the guy sure looked like him.

Regardless of his looks (which aren't bad), his work is awesome and I am glad that he came over to our side.

Crazy looking forehead

It looks like to me a skin graft on his forehead going around the eyebrows down to the top of his nose. Maybe a powder burn?
