eye dominance revisited

I was searching old messages trying to find some info on eye dominance, & I found a couple of posts by thestallion & Coyote that spoke to me. I also seem have neither-eye dominance. Well, maybe a slight left-eye bias. I'm right-handed, and since I purchased my first handgun, a full size USP .45 couple of months ago, I've been sighting with my right eye. I shoot decently at 7 yds , but have had a hell of a time seeing the target at 15yds or greater if I keep the front sight in focus. While I was reloading last night & watching my buddy's son shooting a .22 in the next lane, I noticed that if I looked at a certain bullet hole on his target with my left eye closed, it looked a bit blurry, less so if I closed my right eye. As an experiment, I shot my next two mags "cross-dominant". The second mag was my first-ever sub 1" group at 7 yds (just one hole about the diameter of my thumb, felt reeeeeeel good :D ). Now bear in mind, that I pretty much fail most of the eye dominance tests, just seeing two of everything, and the test with the overlapped thumbs, seems to depend what I'm looking at as to what eye dominates. Is this simply a case of one eye just having better(clearer) vision than the other? Any one else experience this? I'm trying not to develop any bad habits if I can help it.
