I bought a sig p938 scorpion with g10 extreme grips. They were very hard on the hand and the msh cover was very sharp. I called hoige who makes them and they said they are meant to be sanded to youe liking or leave like they were.
Using 320 sandpaper it took all of 10 mins to get them to my liking.
Finshed off with a coat of wd-40 on them to bring back luster as suggested by houge.

My OCD would have kicked in and I would have been freaking out trying to figure out the way to sand each side identically. I did have to sand some G10 grips lightly to get some adhesive off from when I was trying to remove a stripped screw. I was amazed at how with a little oil and a rubbing cloth the grips looked just as new. G10 grips are pretty awesome that way.
