Extra Christmas cash..what to get?

The in-laws will probly be giving me money again this christmas (would it be a crime to get to know me?..lol) and I'm planing to thin out some of my guns that I dont really use or like anymore so I'll have a little bit of disposable income again. I just put in my order for a new Glock 20 to retire my old one and I also got 2 of my "gotta have one day" guns ...a P99 limited edition and a meager but oh so usefull P-32, so i really cant think of anything else I "NEED" at the moment. What are some new and unique handguns that I'm not thinking of. Maybe I'll get that One-Pro that has been gathering dust in my local gun shop..maybe a Para P-16 limited converted to 10mm..amybe another "beater" P-99. Toss out some suggestions. My interests lean toward Semiauto handguns but evil, black, ugly rifles are fun too. I pretty much have all the shotguns and hunting type rifle I could ever use.

Why don't you get one of those new Armalite AR-180B rifles? New custom 1911's are always fun too. Let me know if you would like specific suggestions.

Thanks for the input so far..keep it comeing. I had thought about a billinium, but If I got one of those I would be tempted to put it in the safe and try to keep it pristine. I want a shooter. The Ar180's look pretty fun, but it just dosnt tickle my fancy. I dont think Armalite's going to have a problem selling every one they can punch out though. After sleaping on it, something came to me that had sliped my mind. A friggin Desert Eagle. Uterly useless, fun, very different, everybody recognises them, and quite eye pleasing with the right finish..like satin nickle or bright chrome. <to anyone who has modern bright hard chrome guns, how hard are they to keep clean and scratch free with regular use> Its one of those guns I have always secretly wanted but never could justify buying. I guess since I cant come up with a gun I need for a particular purpose, now is the time. What is the general consesus on the DE pistols...from a fun range toy perspective. How much smaller is the .357 DE than the .50 version. A better question, how much bigger is the .357 eagle than say a 1911 or Large frame Full size Glock. I would probly have to get the .50 just for the extra coolness factor.
Thanks
Jason

DEs=VERY fun!

IIRC, to go from .50AE to .357 (newer model), you need a bolt, barrel and magazine change, maybe something else? Point is, the receiver/frame I believe is the same size. They are significantly bigger than a full sized 1911 or Glock and you really feel it in the grip, weight and balance.

Heck if you have all of your other bases covered, a .50AE would make an awesome addition.
:D

Coolness factor = Fonzy/Elvis combo squared.

The DE .50 is the same frame as the .357. It is the biggest Semi Auto in existance...(I think?) It has to have the mass and weight
so the round doesnt rip your arms of at the shoulders. They are completely pointless to own and expensive to shoot. (I want one too!) The 50 that I shoot the most has a 6" barrel with a red dot system and a 10" barrel with a 4x scope. I love this gun...my dad cant afford to take it to the range when we go...its all I want to shoot.

Recommendation for Range Edicate when shooting a DE .50.
Rule #1
Dont go to an indoor range unless you want everyone asking
"What the H*LL is that?!" It goes "boom" like a stout muzzle loader and echoes...no kidding!
Rule #2
Dont go to an indoor range that has people shooting close to you.
The shock wave/muzzle blast can be felt...LITERALLY" 4 stalls away, every time you fire the damn cannon. Your shooting neighbors will not like their targets flying around in the wind
created by every shot fired! Again, no kidding!
Rule #3
Shoot it at indoor ranges if you are rebellious and dont care if
you piss everyone off in the place. You are having too much fun
shooting that damn cannon....LOL.

With the 10" barrel, scope and a bench rest... groups 2" at
75 yds. TRY IT YOU WILL LIK....ER...LOVE IT!
Shoot well

Thanks again for the info and suggestions. A .50 Desert Eagle is right at the top of the list as of now.
Shake...got one, hence the name. I absolutly love it. Got a type 97 right after they came out (S# in the thousands). If you dont have on, get one. I suggest staying away from the budget models without the hogue grips and muzzle brake. I would also stay away from the second gen. They added almost a full pound to the weapon..kinda defeated the purpose..and they are even uglier than the first model. They get alot of flack for being unreliable, thats easy to fix. Mine was a jam-o-matic untill i took a jewlers file to the extractor. It was holding the shell to securely and wouldnt let go, slaming it back into the breach face instead of flinging it out. Works 100% now. and as a plus Professional Ordnance has a customer service department that makes Kel-Tec CS look slack. Sent my gun in for repairs (my fault0 and it was repaired and on its way back the same day it arived!!
For some reason I thought the .357 used a smaller frame than the .44 and .440 Corbon and .50 DE..guess not huh?

Hey Carbon,

Kinda figured you might have one.

I've been thinking seriously about them. When it gets closer to the top of my list I'll have some questions for you.

Shake
