External Ballistics of a Gunspring

So I'm re-assembling after a trigger job. Oops, mainspring goes flying across the room. I find a nick in the paint in the wall where it hit, by studying the likely trajectory from the point of origin. Now I'm trying to calculate 'spring drop' and angle of deflection, and crawling on my hands and knees with a flashlight looking for this thing, and it seems to have sprouted legs and walked off. I found the endcap piece that flew out with it, but not the spring itself. I'm about to give up and call Numrich to just get another one. Then when I find it in 3 weeks, I'll have a spare I suppose.

you will find it when your searching for something else,,I lost a spring for a rem , pump .22 and found it the next morning combing my hair,,thats where it was ,in my hair
