Son has his Ruger 10/22 (our first time shooting it), long term friend has a Marlin lever 30 / 30 (first time shooting it), I will be bringing my Zastava AK (which I have fired a few times, it gets me all hot and steamy just thinking about it)

Remind me to take and share photos.

I am certainly not photogenic, I just look like an old grump :D

My son bailed at the last minute, but he wanted us to try his rifle anyway.

I'm in the Corona shirt, friend has the 30 / 30....

Super that you got out. That's important these days.

Sorry your son bailed out. That would have made the day a bit more special but at least you go to shoot with your friend.

Nice rifles btw.

30/30 - Dale and I both shot well off the bench, he's an ex marine and his rifle skills really showed when he shot an even better group standing

AK - both did well off the bench, finally got a decent zero with the AK sight tool. It was starting to get cold and I was shivering (couldn't hold still) when I shot from the standing position. Dale called my first two shots with the spotting scope, both excellent, then I went downhill fast and barely stayed on the paper. I was cold - that's my excuse :D

10/22 - ran open sights but the factory scope mount rail was still installed, it was hiding the notch of the rear sight. I was shooting about 6" high @ 50... it's my son's rifle so I didn't want to mess with it. I'd love a 10/22 with the Tech sights peep system...

No glass, just factory notch sights all 3 rifles that day.

Nice rifles.
Have had a Marlin 30/30, but gifted it to one of my sons. Still have an old 10/22 from the 1970s.
Two of my sons are in their 50s, so you don’t look so old to me.:D
