Finally, we are still waiting on the full transcript for
the BATFE Congressional Hearings (
http://www.jpfo.org/batfehearings.htm ) to be posted on the
House Judiciary website. When we last called, we were told
that it may take _months_ due to the need to "revise and
edit" the transcripts (hmmm...). As soon as we have a copy,
we will be sure to publish them and alert you!

According to my understanding of English, my native language, the terms "revise and edit" indicate that changes in the original text have been undertaken, for reasons unstated, by persons unidentified.
Given that the hearings of 28 February into BATFE antics were supposed to be web cast, they weren't, this revision and editing of the text of what were supposed to be PUBLIC HEARINGS, strikes me as curious, to say the very least.
Seems as if someone might have something to hide from interested citizens. One wonders as to what it might turn out to be, as well as who felt the need to hide things, and why the need to hide anything in the first place. After all, these hearings didn't, in any way at all, involve national security. They simply involved, one assumes, the legitimate functioning of a congressional committee examining the actions of a government agency that they fund, and which they have oversight responsibility for.
Am I missing something here? Might it be that JPFO is off base here. They seem, in other instances, to be pretty much on the mark, which is more than can be said of the BATFE.
