I have been having a discussion about the perceived behavior of lawyers in another thread.
I wanted to post a reference to something we should *all* have.
It costs less that 2 movie tickets and is much more significant. It was posted here before but not emphasized enough IMHO.
Tennessee Law Review Vol. 62 No. 3 Spring 1995.
3 of the articles are must reads, even if you have read Lott, Kleck and Koppel in other places:
"A Critical Guide to the Second Ammendment" by Glenn Reynolds.
This is such an excellent piece of writing!! The presentation is logical, the reference and footnotes illuminating. I told my wife that it is so good it made me want to go back to law school So I could aspire to such a piece of scholarly writing!!
"Guns and Public Health: Epidemic of Violence or Pandemic of Propaganda". Kates et al.
"Congress Interprets the Second Ammendment: Declarations by a Co-Equal Branch on the Individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms". Stephen P. Halbrook. Excellent collection of research on how the congress has tried in ther past to make gun-bans. Very worthwhile.
I got it for $13.00 from:
Tennesee Law Review
1505 West Cumberland Avenue
Knoxville, TN 37996-1810
Micki Fox
615-974-4464
Please get it , read it and be amazed at the clarity of the argument and beautiful work of these wonderful lawyers!!
Thanks,
Noel
