Everyone enjoy! (WICKED COOL)

Here are some excellent Hi-Speed Camera videos of various rounds and loads hitting ballistic gel. I figured this would be interesting to everyone here as we are all interested in firearms and ballistic capability. I hope you like these videos as much as I did. The 125gr. 357 is absurd and looks like a monster . The 9mm looks like its quite effective and a good load, close to higher calibers. The 40 and 45 are close to equal in my book. The 45 has the edge but the 40 is close behind it. They are very impressive as well as the 125gr. 357. These whole series of videos are entertaining and informative, Enjoy.-Tyler

WOW... those were cool... pretty easy to see the difference between rifle rounds & handgun rounds ( the whole block dancing around on the rifle )

that I'm sure transitions into hydrostatic shock... the handgun rounds might open a wound channel but don't seem to disrupt the block as much as even the lil K Hornet rifle round

I'll post again if it helps TylerD45ACP, they really are cool to watch.
By the way is your screen name a reference to Tyler Derden in fight club?

It's the link they enjoy, not the thread. ;)

How many have gone to the link and not come back to say, "Thanks"?

LOL... You are right, just wanted to hear some comments. I find the high speed camera combined with ballistic gel tests extremely interesting to watch.

Yes it is Nocturnus31, you are the 1st one that has actually ever asked me that. One of the greatest films ever made along with one of the greatest characters, imo. Very interesting ideas about the world that were shown in the film.

LoL... "I want you to hit me as hard as you can." Good Film
Spolier for FIGHT CLUB
How about the cool CGI scene in the end when Norton sticks the 4506 in his mouth and they show the slow motion of the gas and discharge. They shot pressurized air into his mouth for that scene to simulate the gas pressure.

Can't even imagine how that must've felt. Great movie!

The vids were outstanding. I watched all the ones which are similar to ammo I use.

I need some more Black Talons! :D

Really good vids, proves one point I have been making for years, the 185 grain 45 ACP is awesome.... as is the 357, 125 grainers.

@ Wag--Yea the air was just shot into his cheek in a 'safe' manner, but that still must have been freaky. It is an awesome movie. I found these videos and had to share them there were just too many good ones. I also look at rounds I would use or do use. Watching what they are actually doing in slow motion is quite impressive.

Also very informative. There is always a ton of debate on here and elsewhere about the effectiveness of various rounds but this kind of vid puts it into more stark perspective.

Thanks again for posting up.

I found the difference from 380 to 9mm a little surprising. The difference from 38+P to .357 is interesting as well. Great link. Thanks.
