Ever sent a Beretta mag back for repairs?

I have an Italian 92 magazine with widening feed lips that appear to be out of spec now. The rounds need to be pushed forward only about 1/4 of an inch before popping out of the magazine.

Do you think that Beretta USA will repair/replace the mag if I send it to them? If it were a Glock mag, I would not even need to post this question, but I have never had to try BUSA's customer service, especially with an old magazine that is well past their 1-year warranty period.

You can get new aftermarket mags for about $15 from many places (like Cheaper Than Dirt) which is less than the cost of shipping that one.

His magazine may be of the "intended capacity" types, therefore making it worth shipping to salvage. However, as of yet I have never needed to send anything back to anybody, so I really don't know.

From my personal experience, Berretta customer service is the

worst. Sent them a brand new defective 380. Turned out they

did not know where my gun was or have any record of my gun.

That was after waiting 45 minutes on hold. After 6 aggravating

month I got back my gun. The problem was not fixed and there

was additional problems with the gun after getting it back.

I wiil never buy another Berretta product again!

Beretta service

I own two Berettas. I've only had problems (actually a single problem) with one, a Tomcat. First time to the range and the firing pin popped out. Took it back to the dealer who sent it back to Beretta. I got it back in two weeks and haven't had a problem since.

WHOA! DANGER WILL ROBINSON! If this is a 15-round magazine, DO NOT SHIP IT BACK TO BERETTA!

They are compelled by law to confiscate that tube. They will repair it and send it back with a 10-round tube.

You think that's crazy? The Beretta service guy also said if you send the gun back for repair and accidentally leave a 15-round mag in it, THEY ARE REQUIRED TO REPLACE IT WITH A 10-ROUND MAG!

I swear this is what I heard straight from Beretta service people.
