Has anyone here ever ruined a brass frame .44 1858 clone by shooting heavy loads? What loads will it stand a steady diet of?

Heard of a guy that put a conversion cylinder in a brass Remington, bent the frame in three rounds. I would think a brass frame Remington could handle a steady diet of 22-25 grs. I have a brass Buffalo that I use a 22gr load in and no problems so far.

How many grains does it take to fill the cylinder, so there is only room to seat the ball?

About 35 of real black.

I have a brass framed .36 Remington and was using 25 grs. of Pyrodex and conicals. After 4 cylinders full you could barely see where the cylinder ratchet was starting to imprint the recoil shield.
