Ever hunt this place???

I appreciate all the information & advice given in my previous "Hog Help" thread; now one more question comes to mind.....

I'll be hunting within 85 miles of the "Watkins Ranch / B Hunting Services" near Uvalde, and wondering if anybody has ever hunted there or know/heard anything about them. Their prices seem very reasonable, and If I can't do any good while hunting on my own, I might drift on down to Uvalde and give them a try.
Any information is appreciated.

Last time I was near there saw some high fence farms with herds of deer.
Didn't look challenging. I'm sure you will know if it is what you want when you see it. ask for references for guide/outfitter.
Just across the road was a unfence section so it is hard to say.

North or south of US 90? Makes a lot of difference as far as terrain and density of vegetation. North is hillier, more ridges and valleys. To the south where it's flatter, visibility can be more limited.

And "85 miles" takes in a lot of territory, including downtown San Antonio.

Best technique for downtown SA is to leave valuables in your car and then sit in a treestand...

Sorry, couldn't resist. I had more stuff stolen in SA than anywhere else I was ever stationed. Finally got smart enough to take everything, including the radio, out of a beater pick-up and just leave the windows open. At least that way they didn't have to break out my window to check the glove box...
