Ever forfeited a gun purchase for a contribution?

Have you ever forfeited $$$ for a gun purchase to your RKBA organization?

Was gonna buy a gun this weekend, didn't, so I split it between the NRA and the GOA.

Ever done it? Ever regretted it? :D

No...but I have stopped shooting my weekly round of sporting clays this year to donate the money to RKBA assn's and to political candidates.

Done it, yes. Regretted it? No.

Passed up a Marlin 1894 in .357 magnum and instead sent money to GOA, NRA, LEAA and SAF.

We all need to postpone the purchases a bit more to help with the cause.

When I joined the NRA for life (many years ago when it was only $300), that was enough to buy a Remington 700 or a revolver.
 
Everytime I pick up a new toy, I send 5-10% of what I paid to the NRA. The next one, the donation will go to the GOA or JPFO.

I look at it as part of the price.

Not a bad idea. Just like people that give a % of their income to the Church.. I know people that give a % of their income to such organizations. I never thought of givin' X% of the purchase to an organization after I made a purchase...

Have sent a total of $400 to Bob Stewart ( half of it thru raffle) may send more tomorrow- I figure every dollar spent on his lawyer now may save me 2 dollars on my lawyers later.

Regetted it- well,,,,in a world where it's all relative, I'm beginnig to think my next contribution might be better made to the ole ammo dump. :(
 
Get a NRA platinum credit card. Then you get to send a percentage of EVERYTHING you buy to the NRA. (if that counts)
