Ever buy a new gun that makes you dislike an old favorite??

Well my Beretta 390 is making me dislike my Remington 1100... I had a lot of love for the 1100 until I got the 390 and now the 1100 is quickly becoming a safe queen... I can't in good conscience get rid of the 1100 as it was a gun that belonged to my grandfather that he never shot... Anyone ever have something similar happen??

There's no gun here I dislike. Some I like more than others, but that's totally subjective.

And I really like the little 20 gauge 870 I call Jessica, but I do not shoot it as well as I do 4 or 5 others.

Sure, ....when I buy a new gun ....others kind of sit ....

I still have Browning O/U's in the safe ...like a Citori XT Trap ...and I bought a fancier Citori XT Trap with an upgraded stock ...and I haven't shot the other one in years..../ but I still keep it - I'll pass it on to one of the boys down the road. Its just how it is ...and the safe keeps filling up with shotguns ...and 1911's and revolvers... and whatever ....

no. but the recoil in this 16 gauge pump had me amazed, but yet I feel if I buy one of these 12 gauges that it might be alot less recoil, but I am trying not to go out and buy anything. Maybe I can get use to my mom's cannon I shot the other day.
It sounded so beautiful , it just isn't some slick automatic 12gauge for clay or trap, it's a deer pounder in my opinion.
I would like to maybe just buy a nice handgun for fun times and save the 16gauge for a deer hunt hoping that on a good day the recoil won't make me miss a good sized buck! :):p

My Beretta 391 has replaced my 1100. They both work great but the 391 does it with a aluminum receiver instead of a steel one. The weight difference is just light and day better after a full day of upland hunting.

My new 20 SxS makes my other one look and feel like a fence post - not only is the fence post not getting used, it might as well go up for sale soon - it just isn't going to get used with the better-made new one around

300WM...

in my opinion, the Beretta A390 is and was the BEST autoloader ever designed and built! Much simpler gas design than the newer A391 and cycled any load without a hitch. The current 3901 carries forward the same engineering, it's just not as pretty and only available in 12 gauge...

Yes. When I bought my first Perazzi the other guns just gathered dust in the safe. On the odd time I took one out I wondered why I was shooting it while I had a P-gun in the safe. There was only one thing to do. Sold off 5 shotguns and bought another Perazzi to the same specs as the first only in 28 gauge. :)

Yes I did. I bought a Streetsweeper once and it turned out to be a pc of junk. I sold it at the gunshow and bought an 11/87 which has it all over the SS.:D
