latest Peg Leg comes to light.
OAL - 15 7/8”.
Barrel Length - 7 3/8”.
Capacity - 5 + 1

I cut the barrel off at the point where the step down occurs. The smaller diameter had to be recut along with the fore end moved back. Added a long version of the Marbles Bullseye rear sight. I won’t get a chance to shoot it till this Tuesday. I can still get a back of my thumb cheek weld with it. LOL

Started life as a Henry 22lr Mare’s Leg 25” long. Did this for plinking fun inside of 25 yards also great gun for playing horse or pig with others.

I guess for the same reason I shoot 38spl snub nose at 50 yards or shoot handguns with no sights at all or maybe spend half my range time with my carry gun shooting with my weak hand only. So all that and it sure beats watching “The Voice” on tv.

Ok, so that was legally a handgun, right??

I won't bother to ask why, the why is always the same, because I can, and because I want to...and nothing wrong with that.

I will offer thanks that you aren't cutting up something actually valuable,.

Learning how to do the work and have the results be both functional and professional looking is a good thing. Practicing those skills (and making unique items) is a good thing.

Personally, I don't care for a repeating handgun that takes both hands to operate. (or can you do a version of the Rifleman spin - and have it work??) but for a range toy & plinker its cool and looks well done.

Nothing wrong with having some guns for FUN, call it sport or something else, its not a bad thing, despite what some people seem to think....

Your inclination is correct it is legally a handgun as it came from the factory.

I can see some coolness going on there- kind of like a lever action version of a Ruger Challenger, huh?

Coolness

You rock, as was said earlier, you did not cut up something historical or esp. valuable.
I like it, looks like fun.

I esp. enjoyed your nice black and white pics. Don't see enough B+W and I for one esp. enjoy black and white. The fact that I make most of my living in radiography may have a little to do with that.

It's actually quite impressive how many shades of gray the human eye can discern. There have been peer reviewed studies of exactly that. Peer reviewed science is the gold standard. I've read that up to 700 shades of gray can be discerned by the trained observer under ideal viewing conditions.

Nice pics!

That Marbles sight is wacky.

I say good job. Considering that the purpose is as a super fun rimfire plinker, it looks like you've succeeded.

Yeah, it dose look a bit strange and it works very good on guns with a longer sight radius. It didn’t work so well with short sight radius and I have a buckhorn on the way for it.
