Yes it's true. The author of this article makes it very clear that he believes in gun control. But even he had to admit, after careful, detailed study, that the 2nd Amendment affirms INDIVIDUAL rights and not a collective right or a right for states (militia) only.

Both these sights have enough material on them to keep you sleeping for years. :) From photo copies of orginal documents to Hobbs to the federalist papers to modern court cases. They are a good place to start learning about the true meaning.
