Anyone heard of escourt shotguns? Have a buddy that is looking at one for his son and can't decide between the escourt and the tried and true 870. Any help?
 
The Escort is made by Hatsan in Turkey. I know there have been some older threads on The High Road about them.

Personally, I would go for the 870 - At least you KNOW there are parts available and folks who can fix them...
 
I got one. The Escort Aimguard model. 18" barrel. The reason I got it over the 870 was the ergonomics were better for me than the 870 I tried, and it has some impressive specs over the 870 for what it costs. I really like it, and it's a good deal for the money. I don't know how it is to get parts for since nothing has really broke on it, but Legacy Sports imports them. I'm still fairly new with it, but many people have put a lot of rounds through them with good reports.
