EOTECH Sight

Bought a EOTECH 512 sight, mounted it on my AR15 but not sighted it in yet. I will stack, or lollipop, the red dot above A2 post sight. Easy nuff. Now once sighted in I'm led to believe, buy articles i read, that when I throw my rifle up to shoot and I look through glass screen if the red dot is not centered but say 1/4" off to the right of center am I to believe the rifle is actually centered on target even though red dot is not in center of screen?

My EOtech is just a hair - not a 1/4 inch - to the right of the midline of the front sight post. Why? I don't know. It is what it is. I am comfortable with the zeroes.
