EOTech, Replicas and Others

I want to get a BUIS for my flat top and either a scope or red dot as well. Any suggestions? I know next to nothing about EOTech other than everybody using them. I've seen the replicas on ebay from Hong Kong for about $80. What's the deal with those and have you actually used one (don't be ashamed)?

Thanks

someone is selling aimpoints here that are not that bad for about $80. I have just had mine on a rifle to look around a bit and was happy with the clarity and such.

I've always wondered about that. I wonder where EOTech's are manufactured. I've seen a lot of equipment that is manufactured in asia and sold by American companies. I'm not saying that EOTech is one of these. If a said product is designed here but manufactured overseas and then sent back to America for retail sale I could see the asian manufacturer selling the same product, they've been making for the American company, directly to the public. I'm not saying it is right but probable.

Ive seen the cheap ones at the gunshows and have a real eotech they do not compare they are not copys and do not even use the same holographic tech. Reticle size and clarity do not even come close.

I do not see why the price of eotech HWS have gone up so much $400.:barf: I bought mine new back in 04 for $250.

I would spend around $250 for one. I'm looking into the Bushnell Trophy MP 1x32. It has really positive reviews. I posted a torture test of it on this forum that another person performed. It has pictures too.

I was undecided on which optic to put on my rifles. I went with Aimpoint as the EoTech reticle was too busy for me. Aimpoints have better battery performance and an easier manipulation of the intensity adjustment.
