I've noticed a recent (and odd) fashion trend among young American Youtubers. Mostly in "prepper/tactical/gun" type videos. Keep seeing them wearing the Shemagh deals. (I call these things "terrorist doo-rags)
In a practical, non-fashionable, utilitarian sense, I can see these being used if you live in the Mojave, but I crack up watching some young guy demonstrating "How to tie a Shemagh" while standing in a backdrop of Georgia pines.
Can anyone here explain why young American folk would covet a head covering that is primarily worn in lands where people cheered during 9/11. Thanks.
