I have the above Enfield with the serial number 76C5700. Can anyone tell me when it was manufactured? Anything about it? Thanks in advance
 
76C is a Savage built #4mk1*. Probably around late '43 or early '44.

Savage built more #4mk1's during the war in a shorter peroid of time than any of the British factories. But, the Savage factory wasn't bombed either!

Sweet rifles. I have a few of them.

The Lend-Lease act rifles!! Almost bought one of them at the last gun show here. Kick myself now!!!:D

Would have been a great complement to my No 5 BSA.

Good pickup, hope it shoots good.
