Enfield No4 Mk1 Serial Number?

I'm new to The Firing Line and look forward to contributing to its success.
I just got a Enfield No4 mk1 as a gift. I've searched the web for info on my serial number and haven't had much luck. The serial number is B19xxx. On the left side of the receiver it has:
No4 MK1
56 ROF B19XXX

Can anyone tell me when and where it was built? Does the "56" mean it was in 1956?

There aren't any other markings except for the serial number also on the left side of the metal strap? that is right above the trigger.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Might it be ROF (F) not just ROF?

ROF (F) would be Royal Ordinance Factory Fazakerley in England, but IIRC they stopped production in 1955. With the '56 date (yes, that's correct its the last 2 digits of the year.)

I'd guess Pakistani made if not Fazakerley as they made No4 rifles up through the late 60's.

Might it say "No. 4 Mk I / FTR ROF(F) B19xxx" If so, it means Factory Thorough Repair - rebuild - at the Royal Ordnance Factory, Fazakerley. During FTR, Fazakerley normally removed all the original markings and put on new markings, including a new serial number, on the left side of the receiver, using an electric pencil.
