No...I don't have one for sale, I just bought one for that price!
Today I put some money down on a new rifle, an Enfield #4 Mk 1 in .303. I was told it was a Canadian "longbranch" .
From what I could see the bore and bolt was extremely good and it was supposed to be a factory refurb. The stock was in excellent condition, either new or unissued. I plan on making it a custom rifle.
Anyway..I don't know what the prices are these days on the Enfields, but I saw the price and the excellent condition on the weapon and I couldn't pass it up. Did I get a good deal?
He had another weapon in the case, same MK4#1 except British Manufacture. This one had been beat up pretty badly and looked as though it has seen a couple wars for the same price. Why are the Canadian Long Branch (sp?) rilfles cheaper other than from a collector standpoint?
Question #2, are scope mounts readily available for this weapon? If so, who is a good manufacturer?
Thanks for the input..and sorry about the misleading title of this post!
Good Shooting
