End of the deer season thoughts

I was cleaning and oiling down 3 rifles I used this year and I was kind of looking at them on the table. One is a shorty AR that I use in really bad weather. The other two are what a lot of people call Bubba'd rifles. The two most accurate go to deer rifles I have (Really scaled back a few years ago) are the Bubba rifles. One is an Arisaka I re-cut to 6.5x55 with a stock that was already hacked that I picked up at a flea market. The other is a 7.7 that I put a surplus 7x57 barrel on and chopped everything into carbine length. I had blued both and the finish is still pretty good considering the hard use they get. Both of them shoot better than I usually can. Both have made some awesome shots for me. I would not trade them for a new anything. Long live Bubba rifles and Happy New Year.
