I've recently been bitten by the mouse gun bug. I want something small, doensn't have to be really lightweight (but not a rock), should be either .32 or .380, and should be under $350.

What do ya think? Any suggestions?

Chris

Friends don't let friends carry mouse guns.

I'm still looking for the Beretta M21 that transforms into a G3 when drawn. You guys let me know.

Can't say it's really a mouse gun, but a small one with a very small price: Makarov. I went to the range on Saturday and took all the toys out to play. Surprisingly, the $130.00 Bulgarian Mak outshot the $600.00 Swiss Sig. Both 15 and 15 yard ranges too. I'm using the 9X18, but you can just as easily get it in .380 but I don't know why you'd bother. The 9mmM is a little hotter, and now has the JHP from Hornady and Speer. Ammo is easy to find too (unlike a few years ago)

I just picked up a Bersa Thunder .380 for my wife yesterday...it is surprisingly well made...I paid $209.00 before tax and fees...can't wait to shoot it! I mean...I can't wait for my WIFE to shoot it!;)

Ditto the Keltec P32 and Makarov recommendations. I own both and have been very pleased. The Keltec is perfectly reliable as long as i feed it US spec. ammo. The Makarov is a good bit bigger and heavier, but it has never jammed once and has about 600 rounds through it so far.

I would also look at a Keltec P-11. It is small and fits your price range well. There are some vry nice German Police trade-in Walther PP in .32acp out there too at the moment. Dealer cost on them is in the $240-$260 range, so you might be able to get someone to order one of them for you and stay in your budget.

If you want REAL Mouseguns, then Ber. 950BS and 20 in .25acp are VERY good little guns.

Another vote for the Kel-Tec P-32. Weighs 6.6 ounces, unloaded.
If you want something heavier in a .32, try the North American Arms Guardian .32.

One more vote for the KelTec P32 :)

P-32 all the way! I just got mine back from KelTec after the hard chrome upgrade . Best 20 bucks I ever spent. The gun looks great!

As a side note.... I sent the P-32 down for the upgrade, and I asked their service dept. to update or repair any other stuff they deemed necessary. They replaced my entire grip, and I'm not too sure they didn't replace the actual workings while they were in there. It looks brand new! They replaced the belt clip, too.

I got this sort of service on my P-11, which I bought before the
P-32. That is exactly why I decided on a P-32 when I wanted a mousegun. I can't say enough good about these guys. My KelTecs have been relatively (although not perfectly) faultless. But when it came to making those few problems right, they always shined.

My preferance is:
Makarov
P-32
P-11
in that order for what you want. The Walthers are notoriously unreliable and inaccurate. The Sigs are nice but don't compare to the Makarov -- Heck NOTHING... compares to the Makarov until you get up to about $12,000 or so... ummm perhaps a little more... However, I like the P-32 as it is plenty powerful for it's purpose and the P-11 is still pretty light and fairly small with the full 9mm in 11 rounds.

Try them, they are the three best in response to my understanding of your question.

I got to shoot the wife's new Bersa Thunder .380 today and I think it's a great gun for the money! i've owned Mak's and FEG's in the .380 cal in the past...and if I were in any other state than California I would have picked up a Mak again...but the one's we are still "allowed" to own here are a little too expensive...but the Bersa shot great right out of the box...very accurate...and will be a "throw it in the duffel bag" gun when we go on long drives...it really is a great value.

Rat guns

To me, the .32 ACP is a rat gun. I only consider the .22 LR and .25 ACP to be mouse guns. In .32 ACP, I'd recommend the NAA Guardian, Beretta Tomcat, or Kel Tec 32.
