EMF Hartford Cowboy Shotgun- Anyone seen one of these yet?

EMF is advertising a good looking double-barreled coach gun with exposed hammers.

The only thing I don't like about it is the cylinder bore. Choke tubes would be nice; or at least a choice of IC/mod chokes.

Has anyone seen this piece? Any opinions?

Saw and handled one at the local indoor range. It is verry nice, appears to be solid and locks up tight. Nice wood too!

Price of $595 at the range. For CAS use it would be just fine.

A nice lupara if you are so inclined:D

So they do exist!

You're right, I was thinking of it more as a Lupara than a cowboy gun. Although I don't think I would install sling swivels on it, which all the Sicilians seem to have on their lupara in "The Godfather."

Thanks.

Lots of Continental "Using" shotguns have swivels, not just Great Uncle Salvatore's crisis management tool. I've seen more German doubles and drillings with them than not.

We don't see them on Brit shotguns so much because Milord had a flunky to carry it for him.

Ghillie, Schmillie, Geoff. FYI, Ghillie comes from the Brythonic Gaelic word for thrall, slave or serf,IIRC. I believe the Irish name McGill is related and similar in derivation to Fitz.

However, if Milord ever invites me to a bit of driven pheasant at the ancestral manor, I'll call the dude that totes my 870 for me a Ghillie(G)...
