Electronic Pistol Vault?

Cousin Toad

I am looking at these for storage of a HD revolver that would be secure from my 5 and 1 yr old and any other "curious folks" that happen to be in my home. I also want something that is quick access. I already have gun locker type storage cabinet but it is neither quick access or easy to get to if needed in a hurry. Does anyone have any experience or advice with these two options from Sportsman's Guide?

Any input would be appreciated.

Get one bigger than you'd expect to need. My handgun collection grew after a couple years.

But if you just want to keep one gun and ammo in it, should work fine. Just bolt it to the wall or floor.

I have a couple of these; (as Chris stated you'll need a bigger one eventually...)
These are good for keeping your pistols away from the kids, etc. You can pick them up for @ $120. either touch pad combination or key can be used for entry.
Pretty easy to install between typically spaced studs, comes with screws and anchors; although I replaced them with lag screws.

I have had the type that has sort of a hand print on one side with touch switches at the finger tip area...I keep it in my camper over my bed. good security, quick to open in the dark. and pretty reliable....had to find the key one time when I left the batteries in for 2 years.

I have had it for about 14 years now.
