Electronic muffs conducive to long gun shooting?

Not that I've found yet & I've been looking for quite a while.:(
I've tried the "slimline" electronic types quite a bit & discovered 2 things.

1. Slimline muffs ram the internal foam against your ear & this is uncomfortable.

2. Slimline muffs seem to be built "upside down" with the cutout at the top where it does absolutely nothing, but they leave the thicker part at the bottom where it still contacts the stock.

Not electronic, but maybe these will help...

I always find it very difficult to get a proper cheek weld with any type of earmuff.

I finally broke down and went to a local audiologist to get custom molded earplugs made. They cost me $80 and are much more durable and fit much better than the ones you can get at guns shows "while-u-wait". They've been great.

If you need the active noise reduction of an electronic ear muff, you can get valves placed inside a custom ear plug that will shut out noise above a certain dB - but they do add more cost.
