Electronic Hearing protection for indoor ranges

Hey folks - I'm looking for a good quality set of electronic muffs that can pull double duty. I spend a lot of time on an indoor range instructing 7-10 lanes of handgun and rifle use. I also enjoy hunting. I've had to double up protection with plugs and muffs in the past while on the range. (which is a PITA and defeats the purpose of the E-muff) I really like the Peltor brand but they have so many options and their website is difficult to navigate. The sport tec's are a perfect deer stand / outdoor range muff but won't cut an indoor range. Also, is anyone familiar with a Peltor model which would satisfy the above and have a headphone jack for an i-pod? Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Benny

dont know about peltor's. i have a pair of pro ears that i've had for 5 years, use them every time i use any gun, hunting or at the range without a problem. they also have a jack for radios, ipods ect.

Love my Pro Ears Gold. I chose the bulkier model as I'm a handgun shooter with (sigh) somewhat oversized ears -- and because slimline muff models never protect as well as models with more room for padding.

IIRC you need the "Peltor TacticalPro Hearing Protector MT15H7F-SV " as they are the ones with the external audio input socket.

try the Howard Leight Impact Sport. Great quaility & has the jack too. Got mine at Midway, I have 3 pairs now. I never use my Peltors anymore.

I can't speak to the indoor range question but I have been using Walker's Game Ear Power muffs for about a year now and really like them for hunting and outdoor range.

To my knowledge, they don't offer a model with an earphone music jack. I debated between the Walker's and the Peltor's for a long time before purchasing my Walker's.

I love my MSA Sordin's. I use them on a indoor range and outdoor with great results. The are fairly light and very comfortable.
