I've got a set of Peltors that swap between black for "Tactical" and Orange for "Hunting". I love them to death, but they just don't work with my adjustable trap gun. The cheek riser always always flips them at least partway off my head.
The HL Impact Sport and Peltor Tactical 100 muffs are only 22 dB NRR.
The Harbor Freght is 24 dB.
That is not enough. A good muff or plug at 30 dB is marginal, muffs over plugs are what it takes for real protection.
I have a set of Caldwell electronic muffs. They work OK. They are not as quiet as my Remington standard muffs. As long as somebody is not shooting next to me with a muzzle brake, I use them without additional plugs.
