Ejector tuning

My Vepr .308 is marvelously accurate (sub MOA) extraordinarily shootable and wonderfully reliable......but , par for the action type, it dings up cases. Is there a simple fix? Should I just leave it alone since it ejects reliably and cases can be reloaded despite ugly dents?

I have picked up 308 cases at the range. One bunch (one rifle) seemed to have quite large dents in them. I dont know what they were fired in.

The case dings are likely caused by the angle in the dust cover that forms the ejection port. You can try to 'soften' that angle with electrical tape of door edge guard strip from the local autoparts store, but you need to be careful not to bind the bolt in the process...
