Ejector not ejecting ...

No big deal, just a little irritating - having to dig 7 of 10 out of the port with a finger. :(

What can be done? Stiffer spring the only Rx?

ejector?

Dear MikeTBC:
Is it not pulling cases out of the chamber, or, is it not throwing them out of the action? If it's the former you chamber could be rough or slightly rusted or your extractor broken; if it's the latter your spring loaded ejector in the bolt-head could also be broken, but most likely rusted.
I'd take the bolt out and see if the extractor and the ejector are AOK.
Hope that helps.

Harry,

Extractor works fine.

Ejector isn't rusted and sticking.

Just doesn't kick the cases clear of the port sometimes.

Kicks them hard enough it seems, but I guess they're ricocheting off the inside of the port and falling back in (backwards sometimes)

Well, it now seems that the empty cases are colliding with the windage turret on my scope. (Loop6X18-40)

Ordered a Wolff extra power ejector spring before determining this, I doubt it will help.

It is possible to turn the scope 90 degrees so that the windage becomes your elevation and the former elevation turret is for windage. You have to think about it for adjustments, but it works just as well as the conventional mounting once you are on target.
