I have become interested in the proper ejection pattern for various and properly/optimally operating semi-autos because people have said you can diagnose some problems just on ejection pattern alone. I was thinking of creating some kind of illustration or chart...something like the shooting error chart that everyone has seen.
What is normal for, say...a Glock, a Colt 1911, a Sig P226, Beretta 92, just to name a few . How about a Luger?
Where should your brass be landing when it hits the ground on that first bounce? At your 3, 4, or 5 o'clock?
And where will your brass land when your extractor and/or ejector is faulty or malfunctioning?
