EIE & HS marked replica revolves

Over the past few weeks there have been several brass frame Remington New Model Navy replica revolvers that are marked PR EIE on the butt. I have seen the PR(still can't identify) on other revolvers like FIE but not EIE.

Also, I have run across an 1861 Navy and an 1860 Army with HS in a circle on the left side of the frame. I already have eliminated High Standard, they didn't import either of these. Any suggestions?

No but if you ever find out who made the PR I want to know. I have a Remington Police imported by FIE marked PR.

I have a baby dragoon with PR (kind of overlapped) on the butt. Found this on another site:

According to this website http://en.comuni-italiani.it/034/039/index.html the City of Tizzano, Italy is located in the Province of Parma, whose abbreviation is "PR". Within the city are various localities which include Pietta. Therefore, Pietta-made firearms may be stamped "PR" for the Parma Province.

No, Pietta's have always been marked F.LLI Pietta or FAP in a diamond. My PR is definitely no Pietta at any rate.

Hi all
BPrevolver,
all that i know that EIE and FIE made revolver from PR manufacturing.
I know EIE PR made Remington around 1972. there are some models produced with Hege canon. Uberti's revolvers were made to received only Hege canon at this time until 1989(But i can't tell you since).
I saw a wesson Bredan EIE PR with Orion's canon.
I have seen Remington 1858 and 1851 navy (1979) with only "PR", alwais made in Italy.
I have also seen FIE PR : Rem texas, 1848 Baby Dragoon (1971), 1851 Navy (1974) with Orion canon. I guess this replica could'nt be a Uberti product, because Hege should be the canon manufacturer, and not Orion. Maybe, Uberti made job with Orion also ?
Around 1970, FIE bought EIG. EIG was an Italian black powder manufacturer since 1960, produced some 1851 Navy model. Around 1980 FIE became TITAN and never made black powder revolver.

That all, Could you put there or by MP some pics from your revolver with the marks, thank you.

BP revolver asked about HS in the circle, I didn't found yet but is it posible that mean Herbet Schmidt ?
I see this parts from an other forum about Herbert Schmidt :

1) The manufacturer was Herbert Schmidt, located in Ostheim/Rhoen.
Their orginal trademark is "HS" in circle, often on the grips.
They made single action revolvers (mainly in .22 lr with an alloy
frame, but also in .357 and .45 LC with steel frame, if I remember
correctly), a rather unoriginal pocket pistol in .25 ACP, and a
charming little SA revolver for 2mm pinfire blanks. As of lately, a
very interesting 3" or 4" .38 Sp. DA revolver with a .22 lr exchange
barrel set has been launched; this one is also advertized in "Shotgun
News" and seems to be a rather good bargain, unless one wants to shoot
a continuous diet of .38 Specal +P+ loads.

Hope this need BPrevolver...
